Phalaenopsis Orchid

Also known as the moth orchid, this is a genus of over 1,000 species. They are native to Southeast Asia and Australasia. It’s a perennial plant , meaning it can last from three to five years in your home. For those looking for an attractive flower that won’t die out after a year or two – this one will do! Phalaenopsis orchids also come in nearly every color except blue, making them quite versatile if you’re working with a certain aesthetic or color scheme.

 

These plants need plenty of indirect sunlight and damp soil . However, they can take more dryness than other types of flowers, so don’t worry too much about giving them water when needed.

Spider Plant

This hardy plant is perfect for beginners, as it is very easy to care for. The spider  plant is often found hanging in baskets due to its vine-like appearance. However, it can be placed on any surface that gets plenty of sunlight and left alone.

 

These plants like damp soil , but they also do well with less water. If you live in a dry area where the air is constantly recycled through your home’s heating or cooling system , this might be the plant for you!

Snake Plant

This hardy indoor plant comes in a few varieties, is easy to care for, and can grow up to two feet high. They’re perfect if you’re looking for a low light option that still has some color. The snake plant thrives in indirect light . It does require moist soil from time to time but  can do well with infrequent watering.

 

Peace Lily

The peace lily is a virtually indestructible plant; it thrives in darkness or low light and can survive for weeks with no water . Plus, these pretty houseplants boast blooms that look like white flags! These plants like shade but also grow in lower light. They need moist soil about once a week.

 

This indoor plant actually prefers drier soil , so let the top inch of its potting mix dry out completely between watering—otherwise, you may see your Boston fern’s leaves start to turn yellow and drop off.

 

This striking indoor plant is known for its lush and full foliage and is relatively simple to care for when it comes to maintenance.

Parlor Palm

Parlor Palm is one of the safe plants to grow while having pets. These love to grow in less and indirect light and require evenly moist soil to thrive.  They take their sweet time to grow and require several years to grow into a 3-4 feet tall plant.

Peperomia Obtusifolia

Peperomia obtusifolia is a small houseplant that does very well in low light areas. Place this plant on your window sill or indoors in a nice little corner. It can handle dry soil conditions , but it also benefits from regular watering as well.

Boston Fern

An easy to maintain plant as they only need to be fed after two-months and are very pet-friendly. They don’t like basking in the sun so keep them at a place with indirect sunlight. Also they love water, so maybe a Bathroom is an ideal place for a Boston Fern.
